JOB SUMMARYOversees and manages outsourced maintenance projects.
Coordinates the records review and conformity inspection process for aircraft being added to the Company operating certificate.
Reviews Maintenance Control processes and procedures for currency and performs audits to ensure compliance by Maintenance Controllers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIESo Oversees and manages outsourced maintenance projects.
o Serves as the primary point of contact for external maintenance vendorso Ensures materials furnished by AEL for outsourced maintenance projects are appropriately ordered, shipped, and handledo Reviews all maintenance releases and associated paperwork prior to aircraft being returned to serviceo Coordinates the records review and conformity inspection process for aircraft being added to the Air Evac operating certificate.
o Coordinates with the Maintenance Control Records Supervisor to complete the records review and input of data into the tracking systemso Audits the tracking system and advises maintenance technicians of any necessary maintenance to be performed prior to the aircraft being added to the AEL operating certificateo Ensures all aspects of the conformity checklist are completedo Reviews Maintenance Control processes and procedures for currency and performs audits to ensure compliance by the Maintenance Controllers.
o Supports Supply Chain personnel with verifying applicability of parts and materials being ordered for the fleetOTHER DUTIESo Collaborates with the Maintenance Planner to schedule and plan external maintenance eventso Develops and tests new software, processes, and procedureso Other duties and special projects as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
o Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience requiredMinimum 3 years of helicopter maintenance experience preferredEducation:
o High school diploma or equivalent requiredo Bachelor's degree preferredSkills:
o Current A & P Certificate or equivalent requiredo Current State Driver's License requiredo Inspection Authorization preferredo Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmento Ability to work independently as well as in a team environmento Well-organized, analytical and self-directedo Excellent verbal and written communication skillso Active listening skillso Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemso Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
