JOB SUMMARYThe Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and/or replacing equipment Helmets and NVG goggles utilized by employees on company aircraft as well as subsidiary companies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIESo Perform inspection/repair of company owned helmetso Perform inspection/repair of NVG'so Create shipping labels/receiving labelso Maintain company inventoryo Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSEducationo High Diploma or equivalento A&P preferred but not requiredSkillso Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast paced environment.
o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
o Exhibits professionalism, is ethical and able to maintain confidentiality.
o Well-organized, analytical and self-directed.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to relate to and interact with people at all levels of the organization.
o Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills.
o Active listening skillso Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
o Avionics/mechanical background preferredo Ability to interpret technical instructionso Ability to work with a variety of mechanical tools and instrumentsExperienceo One year experience in avionics or electronic/electrical background preferredo Must be able to obtain repairmen certificate within one year of employment.
