This individual will be responsible for managing staff and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Our Food Service Team is responsible for all food service in our cafeterias, caf and sales dining, which include breakfast and lunch options in multiple facilities.
The Food Service Manager must maintain a robust knowledge of our menu offerings and promote healthy food choice options.
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Train, mentor and motivate team members to deliver exceptional food service, while fostering a positive work environment.
Schedule shifts and deliveries of food service to multiple locations.
Manage employee performance.
Oversee food preparations, cooking and serving processes.
Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimize cafeteria operations.
Collaborate with the team to plan nutritious and healthy menus.
Ensure compliance with local health codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety and sanitation.
Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Has complete knowledge of all equipment which includes operating, cleaning, and maintenance; ensures each team member fully understands the equipment.
Assist in inventory management and order supplies to support operational efficiency.
Manage and coordinate daily cafeteria operations, including opening and closing procedures, team member assignments and all food and beverage preparations while upholding our commitment to service and quality.
Responsible to have knowledge and train team members of coffee preparation techniques, espresso beverages, and brewing methods.
Responsible for balancing the cash drawers and supporting debit/credit card machines.
Qualifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Bachelors degree in Food Service Administration or related field preferred.
Five or more years of related experience in an institutional food service environment required.
Serve-Safe Manager Certification preferred.
Knowledge of methods, materials and appliances used in food preparation.
Effective planning and organizational skills.
Candidate must have a positive, professional attitude.
The hours for this position are 6:
00am - 2:
30pm or 6:
30am - 3:
00pm, Monday through Friday.
