Responsibilities:
Provide support to Commercial Business by performing a variety of essential functions and/or tasks including but not limited to those identified below:
New business processing, renewals, declinations and etc. per written guidelines
Order MVR's as requested in appropriate system application by lines of business utilizing established procedures and systems applications.
Clear and post all new business submissions in appropriate system application by lines of business utilizing established procedures and systems applications.
Process Pre Renewals in appropriate system application by lines of business utilizing established procedures and systems applications.
Process Non Renewals, Conditional Renewals, Rescinding Renewals in appropriate system application by lines of business utilizing established procedures and systems applications.
Process Solicitation Letters as requested in appropriate system application by lines of business utilizing established procedures and systems applications.
May be required to provide support in organizing information utilizing spreadsheets, database or word processing applications.
Understanding of work unit business and procedures.
Identify transaction request and forward accordingly to proper unit for handling.
Assist with projects and/other duties as warranted.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience as a general clerk/customer service representative in a service organization or the ability to learn.
Prior insurance knowledge desired.
Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft office Suite (e.g. MS Word & Excel) and solid keyboard skills with an emphasis on accuracy.
Must possess basic math aptitude.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Skills to learn and understand commercial business process and related databases.
Ability to prioritize competing demands while demonstrating a high degree of flexibility.
Ability to analyze data/processes to determine the next steps for completeness.
Demonstrates the ability to ask/escalate appropriate questions for clarity purposes.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
Demonstrates the ability to develop working relationships with leadership, peers, and business partners.
Responds to customer requests (internal & external) in a timely fashion.
Available to train in an earlier shift, i.e. 6:00am - 3:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm or 9:00am - 6:00pm, after training work 10:00am - 7:00pm.
