Commercial and Emerging Solutions team is engaged in working with new, and innovative technologies to build business solutions that keep Client positioned as a leader in providing valued solutions to corporate card holders around the world. We are currently looking for a candidate to meet the following requirements:
Job Overview: Responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing support and delivery of software solutions. Working with Leaders and Project Managers, help define requirements for new reporting applications and customization adhering to development standards, processes and best practices.
Major Accountabilities:
- Solid background in WebFOCUS report and application development, as well as breadth of technical experience in other development technologies as outlined below.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Work with Project Managers, Technical Leads and other team members on both the development team and other impacted teams to discuss, plan, design and then develop technical solutions to meet current business and customer needs.
- Participate with development teams as they perform day to day system development and maintenance activities.
- Capable of adapting to MasterCard culture with experience working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Detail-oriented, proactive and have the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
- Possess a high degree of initiative and self-motivation with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction.
Required Skills:
General
- - Knowledge of common industry standard best programming practices.
- Ability to innovate and develop new approaches to complex design problems
- Experience estimating complex IT efforts.
- Experience prioritizing work load and meeting multiple project deadlines.
- Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative work environment
- Experience working with project architect and/or technical lead to confirm and substantiate functional and technical designs.
- Ability to learn and deploy new technologies as needed.
- Good understanding of Object oriented design concepts and application layering
- Experience with the following open-source projects which are now de-facto standards:- Ant, JUnit, Log4J, Subversion
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience using the Agile Methodology
