Sr. Software Engineer

This is not a customer facing position.
Initially day time and then will be 24 hours - 12 hours on call in a week
Trouble shooting and handling trouble tickets.
Easy learner, self drive and methodical and analytical experience
Looking for someone not to write code but should be familiar with unix and windows
Should be able to write queries, and should be efficient with queries.
Applications are used by commercial customers.
There is exposure to end consumer sometimes.
Monitor set up and identify the cause of the problem to get the right support team to work on it.
Should identify and trouble shoot the ticket.
sql and unix and shell scripting
Should be able to migrate from unix and linux.Should have worked in high stressed and fast pace environments.
Operational and product support for customers analyzing a wide variety of issues, determine needed actions, and follow through to resolution.
Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's request, determine the cause of the problem, select and explain the best solution to solve the problem, expedite correction or adjustment, and follow up to ensure resolution
Prepare and analyze various reports to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Research code to determine cause of certain behaviors that have occurred in a batch environment.
Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility, work with Software Engineers to define alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
Coordinate and participate in review, revisions, changes, enhancements, testing, and documentation of product enhancements and/or business requirements.
Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency
Part of rotational on call personnel for support and implementations.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
Software engineering experience is desired
UNIX, scripting, C++, Oracle, SQL skills, Java, Microsoft Office
Analytical/problem solving and planning skills and the ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize work based on current business needs.
Possess strong communication skills -- both verbal and written - and strong relationship, collaborative skills, and customer service skills.
Able to work as a member of a diverse and geographically distributed project team.
Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
Part of on call rotational staff.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
